Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location - Circus Baby Fan Art Doll
*SOLD*
My son is a HUGE fan of Five Nights at Freddy's, an amazing, unique game created by Scott Cawthon. He's been telling me for months that I should create an art doll based on one of Scott's newest characters.
This is my interpretation of Circus Baby from Sister Location.

Anna Winterfall - First Winter Girl 2016
Anna Winterfall - Created November 1, 2016
*SOLD*
Whenever I start a doll, I'm never quite sure exactly who they're going to be. Sometimes they're sweet. Sometimes they're sassy. Sometimes they're both. Miss Anna Winterfall definitely falls into the latter category. There's something so innocent about her, yet mischievous as well, like she'll smack you right in the face with a giant snowball, but then make up for it with a cup of cocoa later.

Click the Killer Clown
Click the Killer Clown - created October 28, 2016
*SOLD*
I'm not really a fan of gore. But I do love creepy! I think the new wave of "Killer Clown" sightings is a bit fascinating. What exactly is spurring this trend? Is it clever marketing, or something more sinister?

Asylum Annie - First Horror / Shadow Self Doll
Asylum Annie - Created October 12, 2016
*SOLD*
This girl had been running around in my mind for well over a year. I've been wanting to start a series of what I'm going to call Shadow Self Dolls. Carl Jung stated the shadow to be the unknown dark side of the personality that we may not be aware of, and could either be positive or negative. Annie is the first. And is a bit negative in nature.
I love the show American Horror Story - my favorite season being "Asylum", as well as the "ghost hunting" shows that investigate the decrepit, haunted mental sanatoriums and asylums. For some reason I feel connected to those locations. I feel compassion and a deep sadness for those that were mistreated in those institutions. All they really needed was help and attention.
Then there were those locked away that were perhaps incapable of being helped, suffocated by a darkness so thick not a ray of light could shine through.
I created this doll with that vision in mind and named her Annie, a nickname I detested when I was a kid. I was a bit of a mental case myself.

Lana de Luna - Dia de los Muertos Art Doll
Lana de Luna - Created October 5, 2016
*SOLD*
It had been well over a year since I made my last Day of the Dead doll, Elisa (can be seen in the Gallery). I knew it was time for another, and yet didn't know what her color story would be or how to proceed with the face. Until I found the yarn. I purchased this yarn over 6 years ago, and had NO idea what to do with it. It stayed stuffed in a box with other lovely nonsense, taken out occasionally when I was looking for something else. I happened to be looking for that something else one day when I saw this yarn and knew EXACTLY - FINALLY! - what to do with it. It had been waiting all these years for the perfect doll. It was the perfect shade of orange with bits of sparkly purple running through. It screamed "HALLOWEEN" at me and immediately jumped onto the bald doll's head, claiming its rightful place and securing its hairy position.

I was really getting in the mood to create a whole village of Pumpkin People. With so much to do, the population hardly grew, but I did manage to create a few charismatic characters!

Priscilla Gourdale - Pumpkin Witch
Priscilla Gourdale - Created June 30, 2016

Sometimes the creative juice flows in deliciously, and the magic happens effortlessly. Miss Priscilla Gourdale came through with the slightest of ease, solidifying the belief that sometimes you just need to listen to the voices and do as they suggest. Now, if only I can make a pair of boots like these in my size . . .

Lady Bindi Bluebird Magician Illusionist
I've been working with Creative Paperclay for a little while now, but haven't experimented beyond tiny bunny noses and the occasional skull button. After being inspired by artists from a myriad of styles, I've begun sculpting, as seen here with Lady Bindi's beak and the rabbit in the hat. I feel like a whole other creative world just opened up! Hoping to complete a full sculpted figure in the not-too distant future.

Siobhan O'Shea - OOAK Primitive Folk Art ~ ST. PATRICK'S DAY Irish EASTER Rabbit DoLL
A lovely lapin lass from the isles of Ireland . . .
I'm really starting to enjoy the dolls on the wall. Most of them have been seated, but this stance allows more room to play with the dresses and legs!
