Continuing my Circus Bouquet 2016 series is Miss Judy Poppins. My son kept inquiring as to why I hadn't created a bunny in so long, so this lapine lass went straight to the head of the line of works in progress!

 

I ALMOST didn't let this one go. She brightened any room she graced her presence with, and brought a smile to my face every time I looked at her. :)

Summer is here, which means time for county fairs and treasures from the garden. This farmer Crow was so excited to win the blue ribbon for his magnificent corn that he's vowed to display it permanently on his old burlap hat!



 

 

 

Lady Bindi Bluebird Magician Illusionist

I've been working with Creative Paperclay for a little while now, but haven't experimented beyond tiny bunny noses and the occasional skull button. After being inspired by artists from a myriad of styles, I've begun sculpting, as seen here with Lady Bindi's beak and the rabbit in the hat. I feel like a whole other creative world just opened up! Yesterday I noticed that the crocuses had sprung from the Earth. Their arrival is about two weeks early, but entirely welcome. It's the first sign that Spring will soon be here! Time for color and new possibilities!
